The Color Purple

In show of true bipartisanship the senate with a vote of 69-28 passed the FISA reform bill of 2008. (H.R. 6304). Never mind that this excerpt from an Orwellian nightmare recently has been falsely promoted as the “Telecom Immunity Bill”. Telecom Immunity!? Thats the least of this mess!

“With one vote, Congress has strengthened the executive branch, weakened the judiciary and rendered itself irrelevant,” said Caroline Fredrickson, Director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office

This means that in many cases, the government will have completed its spying activities long before the courts reach a decision on its legality..~Timothy B. Lee The new FISA compromise: it’s worse than you think

There was little doubt that this further erosion of our civil liberties was to become law.

Neither was there any doubt that this would become a presentation on a bipartisan message of change, and true to the Democratic Presidential hopefuls message of change changing his position not merely example of reaching across party lines but a true blending of the red and blue, leaving us with a clearer understanding that this is no longer a two party race now that “move on” has become “come over”!

  1. I totally agree. As I say, just a bunch of managers and no innovators. There’s no real leaders. There’s too much walking on egg shells. It’s a people problem.

    PEACE and ABUNDANCE!!
