Overwhelmed

While trying to decide on my next post about the non-stop idiocy that seems to be sweeping the globe, including corporate sponsored genocide and the evils of our very own MASON-RIECH. I came across what for me personally, is one the the most ignorant racist political positions towards a “Minority” to be, not only publicized but voted on in some 40 odd years.

As American law has left me the orphan bastard of a Rom Chieftain, I am no stranger to the ignorance and bigotries that can be and are directed towards a “Minority” people, It is the ability to recognize not only the differences in others ( whether racial, religious, or simply economical) but that when these differences are used for the basis a prejudice and discrimination , they form the common bond for minorities the world over.

In the case of the Roma and Sinti tribes throughout the E.U. the tendency is towards discrimination solely on the basis of race. And often can be seen in many locations across the member states of the E.U., in the form of local government polices that now have empowered the ,majority, of some member states to lobby for specific laws, for restricting the movements and numbers of these groups. The most recent example is Italy’s interior ministers suggestion of “Fingerprinting” these people in a effort to “Catalog” individuals for possible future criminal prosecution and deportation, and includes the ground work for the removal of children from their families simply because their poor! Claiming that the crack a down on the poor in the Roma ,camps, is necessary to prevent street begging. With out any solution for the real problem of legal discrimination and the reason these camps exists in the first place!

Now I realize that most Americans are so overwhelmed by the current economic crisis, the constant rise in unemployment, Housing, and Treasonous oil prices, that they can only be concerned with their own future and children. You may not even understand the significance of what happens to the poor “GYPSIES” in Europe or how it could even possibly effect you. Truthfully I’m not sure it does! Other than the example it sets for so called Modern Democracies and their attempts in the control of either a portion or even an entire population of people, and the creation of Fodder (that which is disposable) for the failures of political economic policies.

In the U.S. these same basic policies can be seen easiest, in the large cities like , New York, Chicago, Atlanta and L.A. all of which use the median income method to determine the amount of funds (or lack of) for city services, Including but not limited to Law enforcement, Health care, Social Services and Resources for the individual districts within the local school system. Just something to think about I Guess.

For those expecting my normal rant I apologize for the lack of delivery, But the endless possibilities and scenarios that play out in my mind over this, has overwhelmed me with the visions of the coming, of a new “DEVOURING” .

  1. Great read. I had read about this before but hadn’t thought it was real. It’s a scary and depressing thought that there are still racist people in power in the world.

Like what I’ve read so far, going to continue reading–nice blog. :)

  2. I think we may have the opposite problem in the UK. The present odious government has operated an open-door immigration policy for the last 10 years and has changed the face of Britain. The mass influx of EU members has created ghetto situations across the country. Social services are more pre-disposed to help the immigrant communities than the indigenous population – creating resentment, especially amongst the elderly, who have seen their country change before their eyes. The strain on our social services has caused the state pension system to all but collapse and our once proud national health system now cannot cope with the influx of immigrants.

I feel no threat from the USA, but Europe (aside from the UK) has always a fascist undertow – perhaps that’s why poor souls wait to hop on trucks, boats and anything they can to get into Britain.

Romany people have my greatest sympathy – but I fear that a new wave of totalitarianism is sweeping europe and we on this side of the pond are faced, irrespective of race, creed or colour, with the threat of categorisation.

There are moves afoot to create a European superstate – presumably to rival the US.

Even the name “England” has been removed from EU maps – the country is now subdivided – “divide and conquer”

As a white, elderly, single middle-class individual, I have less rights than an immigrant fresh to our shores, despite paying into the system for my whole working life. I would love to retire in a few months, but I cannot afford to – and there are moves to increase the retirement age to 70 – “work ’till you drop”.

Only last week, the Conservative party was defeated in a by-election, coming 5th, behind the BNP, a party which bears the spectre of Hitler behind it’s reasonable face.

It is only a guess, but there is enough wealth throughout Europe to take care of all immigrant and homeless people – and you’re right, there is a racial prejudice in mainland Europe – and a grave danger of one growing in Great Britain sorry – UK…annex of Europe.

Yep, thats what the news keeps telling us. It also tells us we can’t do anything about it.

Big secret here in the U.S.: The news lies.

  4. [...] Furthermore the above example “will” be seen by some as indicative of a WHITE perspective, that by not being AFRO-AMERICAN that this OPINION is somehow muted or invalidated, or even RACIST in it’s own right…. That I am OBLIVIOUS to the COVERTNESS of racism. Yet RACE and RACISM has been the single constant in my own life. As American law has left me the orphan bastard of a Rom Chieftain, I am no stranger to the ignorance and bigotries that can be and are directed towards a “Minority” people, It is the ability to recognize not only the differences in others ( whether racial, religious, or simply economical) but that when these differences are used for the basis a prejudice and discrimination , they form the common bond for minorities the world over.~Overwhelmed [...]
