Come on!!

“any confidence that the government is listening to them.”

Come on !! The American people (should) have every confidence that their government is listening (http://yro.slashdot.org/tags/privacy ). Talk about being out of touch!!The people in these so called mid western towns ,are tired and fed up. But I think your aim to quantify their anger and frustration based solely on economics is also frustrating to these same peoples.These feelings are not limited to small mid western towns, But to every community in AMERICA and to each and every individual . So let’s clarify, It is Human nature to cling to the familiar (i,e. guns,religion,friends and family) In all times . A fact which is just more observably apparent in these smaller communities.(which I find frustrating in it’s self)They are ANGRY,ANGRY at a corrupt government that no longer facilitates the charade of being “FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE” ,Angry that their inalienable rights have been subjugated to the the “CORPORATE MONARCHIES” for profit increases measuring in the hundreds and in the case some thousands of percents.CONFUSED by their core Religious and belief systems that have been called upon and restructured to Hate and fear anything or any one that does not subscribe to POLITICS of the day. DUMBFOUNDED by an EDUCATIONAL system whose funding is based on regressive standardization (lowering the standard(i.e the dumbing down of)). SKEPTICAL of government who seeks to protect us from ourselves by the uncontested covert subpoena of our library records.These are a but a few of the many examples. So to be The true CANDIDATE of CHANGE one might do well to address the ECONOMICS of FEAR and DISTRUST that our present form of government has instilled upon it’s people,And to reverse the tide of Economical ,Racial and Religious TRIBALISM that is so prevalent in our society today.
